Date Ideas Besides Dinner & Movies

Good afternoon Lovelies,

I just wanted to share some date ideas with you guys that I plan to start doing with potential suiters. As much as I enjoy good food, I think dinner dates can get boring and predictable; I  also think that if dinner is the date, there’s not enough time to talk during dinner because after dinner sometimes, the date is over (depending on the budget).. Also movie dates are not good as first dates because you can’t talk or hear each other.

Let’s face it, we all say that we want more adventurous dates, but when it’s time to give suggestions we freeze up! Keep an open mind and remember that dates don’t always have to be at night. There’s something for every budget. Make your dates memorable. I hope this list helps:

  • Museum/Art Gallery
  • Aquarium
  • Planetarium
  • Beach Day
  • Bowling
  • Wine Tasting at a Winery: Check with them if picnics are allowed..
  • Pottery Class
  • Painting Class
  • Cooking Class: Imagine eating the dinner you made together
  • Observation Decks: To see the cityscape from up high
  • Zoo
  • Comedy Show: You can’t talk as much through this either, but you can laugh together
  • Horseback Riding
  • Indoor Rock Climbing
  • Hiking
  • Color Run
  • Visit a Brewery or Distillery: If you’re into that
  • Dancing Class: can be intimidating if you’re shy, maybe go for drinks first 🙂
  • Boat Ride: Whale Watching, Fishing, or just Relaxing
  • Theater Play
  • Sightseeing: Play Tourist in your city or the next town over..
  • Bike Rental
  • Take a Stroll: Anywhere it is scenic and you are able to talk
  • Helicopter Tour
  • Pack a Picnic with Your Date’s Favorite Snacks & Food
  • Hot Air Balloon Ride
  • Arcade: Let your hair down and let your inner child out – Have Fun!
  • PaintBall
  • Escape Room: these are becoming more common in many cities
  • Scuba Diving
  • Skydiving: Not for me, but someone likes it.. haha
  • Amusement Park
  • Basketball/Baseball/Football Game: Root for your favorite team(s)
  • Zip Lining
  • Concert: Mini Concerts are common now, too.
  • Volunteer Together
  • Carnival – Share some funnel cake, get on rides, win prizes.. how cute..
  • Street Fair or Food Truck Festival
  • Fireplace and Chill, anyone? Ha! I just made that up, but that could be nice..
  • Go to a Farmer’s Market or Orchard

Be creative when coming up with date ideas: it doesn’t have to be complicated, it just has to be fun and dedicates enough time to create memories.
